Quick start: how to access One View
- Open your browser and manually enter the official Truist address, then choose the One View entry point.
- Enter your User ID and Password; complete token, OTP, or app-based MFA if required.
- If Single Sign-On (SSO) is enabled for your organization, follow your corporate SSO prompt.
- Upon success, the dashboard shows balances, recent transactions, pending approvals, and alerts.
Business roles, entitlements, and approvals
One View supports role-based access. Typical roles include Viewer (balances & reports), Initiator (create wires/ACH), and Approver (release items). Administrators set entitlements, daily and per-transaction limits, approval tiers (maker-checker), and value thresholds that trigger dual control.
- Separate duties: Initiators cannot approve their own transactions.
- Thresholds: amounts above a defined limit require more approvers.
- Audit: approval history and user activity are logged for compliance.
Payments: wires, ACH/EFT, templates & beneficiaries
Create a payment by choosing the type (wire, ACH/EFT), selecting a beneficiary, entering amount/date, and attaching remittance details. Use templates to standardize recurring transactions, reduce keying errors, and speed batch operations.
- Wire & ACH initiation with value-based approval chains.
- Beneficiary maintenance with entitlement controls and maker-checker for changes.
- Batch uploads via supported file formats; validate results and exceptions.
Fraud mitigation & account protection
Organizations leverage Positive Pay and alerts to detect anomalies. Enable notifications for large transfers, login attempts, and template edits. Review exception items daily and reconcile promptly.
- Positive Pay: compare issued items vs. presented checks; manage exceptions.
- Alerts: login from new device/location, high-value payment, beneficiary changes.
- Controls: restrict high-risk actions to managed devices; rotate credentials for leavers.
Reporting, statements, and exports
Use reporting to analyze balances, cash positions, and transaction activity. Download statements and export in CSV or PDF for reconciliation. Schedule reports for end-of-day delivery to authorized recipients.
Mobile and notifications
Mobile access supports quick balance review and approvals. Configure push/SMS/email notifications so authorized approvers can release time-sensitive items promptly. If you replace your device, de-register the old one to keep the MFA roster clean.
Troubleshooting access
- Forgot password / locked account: use the official recovery flow from the One View sign-in page or contact your administrator.
- MFA issues: check time settings on the token/device, verify network, and confirm registered factors (phone/email/app).
- Browser problems: update to a supported version, clear cache/cookies, and test in a private window or another browser.
- Missing menu items: entitlements may not allow that feature; ask your admin to review your role.
Security best practices
- Type the Truist address directly; verify HTTPS and certificate before signing in.
- Enable MFA for all users; avoid shared accounts; review access logs periodically.
- Require dual approval for high-value wires and beneficiary changes.
- Use dedicated workstations for payments; avoid public Wi-Fi.
Glossary
- Entitlements: permissions defining what a user can view/do.
- Dual control (maker-checker): a second authorized approver must release certain items.
- MFA: additional verification beyond a password (token/OTP/app).
- ACH/EFT: domestic electronic payments; wires are same-day funds transfers.
- Positive Pay: check fraud mitigation by matching issued vs. presented items.
